About Our Circle
Our Circle was born from my own challenging experience of coordinating care and support for my ageing parents.
I couldn’t find a simple app that brought together everything I needed — updates, a shared calendar, lists and messaging — so I decided to create one.
What began as a solution to a personal problem has become a simple organisational tool for bringing people together, coordinating support and easing the practical and emotional load that can come with it.
My hope is that Our Circle makes it easier for people to stay connected, share the load and support each other when it matters most.
Using Our Circle as the Organiser.
Keep everyone in your circle up to date at the same time. Avoid time consuming individual messages and answer questions from family and friends in one place.
Provide a schedule of potential visiting times as well suggested length and number of visits so friends and family know when best to visit to assist with a consistent circle of support.
Help friends help you. By adding items or tasks in the List friends know exactly what is needed and if it is urgent.
Our Circle is the one place to coordinate visit scheduling, updates, list of needs and group chats ensuring everyones input is valuable and coordinated.
Our Circle allows you to get update alerts sent by the Organiser in real time .
Our Circles List will allow you to see what is needed and when. By claiming an item or task everyone knows that is taken care of.
Know what time is best to visit to ensure a consistency of support. Once you claim everyone can see who is visiting and when.

As many as you like. Go to settings to add a Circle. You can easily switch between your circles.

There are two roles: Organisers and Friends.
Organisers create and manage Circles. They can invite Friends, send updates, schedule visits, and create task lists.
Friends join existing Circles to provide support — claiming visits, completing tasks, and joining in group messaging.
Your role depends on how you joined: create a Circle and you're the Organiser; get invited into one and you're a Friend.

Yes. In settings you can see which Circles you are in and whether you are a Friend or an Organiser.

As an organiser you can invite people by sharing a personalised invitation link. The app generates a customised message that includes a direct link to join your Circle. You can share this via text message , email or any other messaging platform. Friends will need to download the app and use the link to join a specific Circle.

Yes, when you are setting up the app you choose if you are setting it up for yourself or someone else.

Our Circle App holds very little Personally Identifiable Information (PII): just the name Organiser and name of who the Circle is for. We do not require emails or phone numbers to use the app.
